Off-Campus Study Spots for Students
Tom Glenn Commons by Bellwether!
The library gets stale, roommates coming in and out, or you just realize you haven’t left your room in a smidge… Sometimes you need a change in scenery. No matter what student you are, Western Washington University, Whatcom Community College, first-year, second-year whatever — Here are some great ideas of places to visit when you want to study away from campus or your room!
Awesome Atmosphere (but Bring your Headphones)
This first list of places are going to offer some great lighting, spots to sit, and most likely something to eat. Great places to study, but be prepared for some noise.
Quieter & Small
Think smaller space, with peak hours that can be lively and loud, but more off the main road than the list above.
Think Outside the Chairs
These are some spaces that popped up in a discussion that I absolutely love the idea of hanging out at to study or read. I don’t know how long you can lounge around, so if anyone tries I’d love to hear how it goes.

Most importantly — Don’t forget to study!
I studied a bit, Chef didn’t study at all, and we still got all the A+ grades. Have fun, lock in when you have too but don’t forget to explore, meet people and do all the things you think you’ll get to eventually.
