ROAM Coffee + Beer: The Community Gathering Spot

Iced White Mocha, Lavender Latte, and a seasonal pastry!

As I’m sure you’ve noticed by now, coffee shops, cafes, and bakeries, are some of my favorite places to enjoy in Bellingham. Why? They are all different. From the décor, menu options, hours, and yet — they all serve delicious handcrafted drinks and curated treats, snacks, and food.

Our latest go to spot has been ROAM Coffee, with its indoor and outdoor seating in a spacious garden it is a great space regardless of the season and weather. I’ve also cruised through their drive/pedal/walk thru window when I’m working in the Fountain, Columbia, and Lettered Streets neighborhoods for real estate goodies. It’s hard to resist this perfectly located local coffee spot.

ROAM serves locally roasted organic coffee, Wander Brewing beer, local craft cider, Washington wine, pastries, and little bites. We haven’t tried their light eats yet, but we love the rotating selection of seasonal pastries. ROAM Menu covers a lot of ground with it’s sweet and savory options, plus they have breakfast burritos and grilled cheese which are just fun!

I love the inside of ROAM, it’s big windows, colorful chairs and they always have some of the best decorations to match the holidays and seasons. Another thing that makes ROAM Coffee so special is they are consistently putting on community events. From Bingo, Paint and Sips, Live Music, Trivia Nights. Just follow along on their Instagram for the latest events. I have no doubt you’ll find something you enjoy!

ROAM is also welcoming to small groups and study sessions which I think is great fun. During busy times you might struggle to find a seat for a group of three, but if you’re by yourself you can surely make a friend and get to work on your own stuff. I always see a smattering of people meeting for work, college students, high school students all very polite and minding their own while they enjoy the space.

Wander to ROAM and find a little home away from home!

The baristas and bartenders are so friendly and happy to chat. The community is in and out for gatherings, work meetings, study sessions, and general joy. The space is clean, bright, and provides you with everything you need to enjoy a casual outting.
