List of Local Event Calendars
Bellingham is full of events and things to do every season, every weekend, every day! Whenever I am writing my newsletter or wondering to myself, “What to do this weekend in Bellingham…” These are my go-to resources! It’s important to share this list of local events happening in Bellingham because some of the calendars are “pay-to-play” while others are free and available to the community — So, be sure to check each calendar!
Bellingham Events from Visit Bellingham Calendar
This calendar is my favorite, which is why it is first on the list! At the time of writing this, this event calendar is curated and free to use for local events. It has a collection of events from live music concerts, sporting events, museum exhibits, food festivals, local markets, and events happening at local establishments.
Bellingham Events from CitySpark
Fun fact! Downtown Bellingham Partnership, Cascadia Daily News, and Bellingham Hearld all pull from “CitySpark” as their source for local events. I can’t quite recall if you have to pay to put your events on here or if you just have to make an account, but I do feel like that barrier sometimes keeps certain organizations from showcasing their events. The events listed are the same mix of music, theatre, workshops, etc. There are some wonderful events on there! So choose your own adventure, put know all three are serving the same events:
City of Bellingham Events Calendar
The events posted on the City of Bellingham’s Event Calendar are different meetings such as community development, advisory board meetings and so on. You can also join via Zoom to attend various meetings. They also have Volunteer Work Parties usually in coordination with other local groups like Western Washington University and others to combat invasive plants, plant new native plants, and clean up trails.
WhatcomTalk Event Calendar
WhatcomTalk is a local online publication with local writers and their events calendar is also open to the public to submit events. It has a smaller collection of events but just as lovingly curated.
More Location Specific Calendars
Get out there and find your Events in Bellingham!Solo adventure or group to-do! There are so many events in Bellingham that you’ll rarely have a day of the week where there isn’t a local meet up, event, or trivia night to enjoy. It’s not as big or wild as Seattle, but enough is as good as a feast! Let me know where you check to find your local events!
