Great Dinner Spots Locals Don’t Know About
Look, sometimes you have to explore your own town and I’ll be honest — I haven’t even been to some of these that are on the list and I have NO. IDEA. WHY. NOT! I should just go, you should just go, but for now, here is that list of great dinner spots in Bellingham that most don’t know about!
Ambo Ethiopian Cuisine
Located at 902 North State Street Suite 104, Bellingham, WA, the owner Mulunesh serves Ethipian food and has even published a cookbook called Ethiopian Feast.
Admiralty Lounge
Located next to Mount Baker Theatre at 100 N Commercial St they are a casual eatery specializing in seafood and elevated with whimsical nautical-themed décor. They also will have live music so be sure to be on the look out for those nights.
Roe
Comfort food and cozy vibes. “Fancy meets familiar” says their website. They are newer to town but have a menu that changes seasonally and it’s clear they care deeply about the food and experience.
D’Annas Cafe Italiano
This is one that somehow just gets past people. This lovely Italian eating spot specialize in handmade: pastas, raviolis, bread, meatballs, and desserts. It is a very old school spot. I believe they’ve been in town since 2010s and it is truly surprising the amount of locals who just don’t know about this spot.
Bry's Filipino Cuisine
Something about State Street — Maybe it’s the parking? No clue, but you should certainly wander that street. Especially, on Saturdays with the Farmer’s Market! But Bry’s is one of the most delicious restaurants to take up a spot residency on State. Great portions, flavorful, authentic food, and the atmosphere is delightful, a mix between high-end and local comradery.
Just go for a wander and you'll find a great spot! Our town as so many great places that are tucked along the streets. Just pop inside, ask questions, you’re more likely to run into friendly staff members and the owners of restaurants than not! Keep an eye out and let me know if there is one I should check out too!
