Best Lemonade in Bellingham

It is going to be a hot Summer in Bellingham! Hugs are turning into high-fives, opening windows in the morning only to let in the flow of air followed by laying on the floor by the afternoon and nonnegotiable jumps into the Bay. I have been wondering… In addition to all this heat I have seen my favorite little thing pop up around town… Lemonade Stands.

Which brought up two questions for me: One. My little neighborhood lemonade stand has questionable hours and seems to be short staffed and two, what does make for the best lemonade? Are you team sucker-punch-by-lemon? Is it the balance of sweet and sour? Is it just the refreshingly coolness? Is natural versus syrups? Here is a list of places to try!

Where to Find the Best Lemonade in Bellingham

The Filling Station

• Strawberry Lemonade, Berry Lemonade, Sake Basil Lemonade (Plus slushie versions at Rain and Shine)

• According to others, Filling Station uses jam instead of syrups which really boosts the Lemonade flavor!

Bry's Filipino Cuisine

• Ube Lemonade served in a martini glass so you feel extra special. Chef has ordered this and loved it, plus the Ube color just adds to the whole mystic.

Avenue Bread

• Rosemary Lemonade. We’ve gone there specifically for it once or twice.

Otherlands

• I haven’t been yet, but I hear they have Sparkling Lemonade that rotates flavors regularly, so don’t fall in love!

Bellewood Farms & Distillery

• Raspberry Lemonade. I’ll admit I usually only pop by Bellewood Acres in the fall or on the occasion I am doing a home tour in that area. But I am thinking I might need to go on an adventure for this!

Övn Wood Fired Pizza

• Cucumber Lemonade and Rosemary Lemonade. It’s just the perfect pairing to their pizza or get it to go and walk around Fairhaven!

My Favorite and Best Lemonade is…

A seasonal wonder of Lavender Lemonade at 11th Hour Tea & Coffee Bar I had many summers ago and I think about it constantly.

I thought the lavender would be really gross or too planty/earthy but it was perfect. It added a lightness to the sweetness of the lemonade while embracing the zing of the lemon. I am definately going to find it this summer season!
